September Show

I hate to jump ahead and think past the summer months....BUT....tis the way it goes! Today has been a busy day working on the September show. I am so excited with the way things are coming together. There is lot's I want to share but since we are still over 100 days until the show, I am going to have to wait. But, here are a few "teasers":

I know, that isn't much to go on but we are adding 2 great opportunities to our shows beginning in September and they are each coming together nicely. The details will be unveiled here first in just a few weeks!

Remember in between shows we would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to highlight your "at home" projects every Monday for our "Made By You Monday" Send photos of your projects to wendy@scrapbookusaexpo.com and we will share it with all our followers here! I know you are busy making cards, layouts and gifts so don't be shy, INSPIRE the rest of us.

I have a little "Thank You Teacher" project going on right now that I will be sharing in a couple of days so until then Happy Scrapping!!

Welcome DCWV ~~ Our 1st Guest !!

Hey everyone!

I am so honored that DCWV can be the first guest blogger on the new Scrapbook USA blog! I for sure have a soft spot in my heart for Scrapbook USA...the event for sure helped me become addicted to my favorite hobby, scrapbooking! I remember attending the expo as a new scrapper but even more, I love working the DCWV booth every show and meeting all of you! Our booth is always packed and I love it! Everyone loves a good stack deal right?

Well I wanted to show you a really fun project that you can use your stacks to create! They are these gorgeous paper roses!!

Happy Tuesday!

It is cold and raining outside! Blah! I am ready for warm weather but at least I am getting the laundry done! Looking forward to tomorrow ~~ Our first GUEST BLOGGER is coming. Today's Journaling Thought

Ever felt like it would be easier to pull your own teeth than come up with something cute and fun to journal on a scrapbook layout?  It doesn't have to be such misery.  Watch for quotes and prompts throughout the blog regularly to help you get started.  Adding that extra special feeling and meaning to a page makes a great layout even better.  Sometimes the picture tells the whole story and you don't want to clutter things. So add a quote that sums it all up.  

 

   Bottom line-don't be afraid to share your story through your writing.  Leave your feelings for posterity, along with       the photos.

Hi Ladies (and Gentlemen who may follow)!  I'm Wendy.  If you've ever been at the expo and spent any time around the DJ stage, we've probably met. I spend most of the show giving out prizes, coordinating contests, taking song requests and just having a good time.

You Know Your A Scrapbook Addict When...

It has been so fun to read these, I have been crackin up all by myself, mostly because I can relate and also because I actually am thinking that wallpapering my bathroom with some of my paper would be really cute! Wouldn't it??

Young Scrapper's Club

At the last show we introduced our new Young Scrapper's Club for the first time. For those of you who missed out, I hope you bring the young ladies in your life to the Fall Friday night get together. Here is a little re-cap from our spring show....

Visions Salon from Sandy, Utah painted nails...

Scribble Scrabble, Scrap 4 Less, Doodle Dragon Designs and Nikki Sivils taught techniques and new skills with make-n-takes...

Provo Craft provided Cuttle Bug machines and plenty of accessories for the girls to work on their own projects...

Then there was the party room. The lights were dimmed and there was plenty going on including dancing, glitter tattoos, hair coloring (washout), treats and karaoke....

We even brought in adult "supervision" to set a good example for our young crafter's! My 2 daughters were there and are still talking about the fun they had. We are already lining up the sponsors for the Fall show and I think they will come with more fantastic make-n-takes and opportunities to teach our young girls the art of Scrapbooking!

Welcome to Scrapbook USA Expo

Thanks for taking a peek at our new blog!! Technically we are still in the designing phase but no problem, I am ready to get started now!

National Scrapbooking Day is coming up tomorrow but Saturday's are too hectic around here to do any scrapbooking so let's change it to National Scrapbooking WEEK instead.
